When I published A Warrior’s Heart Convocation in November of 2015. I thought that the trilogy I was done, Master Akio and Graham could finally rest. As the author of the series, I was comfortable where the trilogy stopped. I honestly had no plans to continue the series.

I moved on to writing in a new genre, Military, Spy Fiction, on a book called, “The 62 State”

The United States of America is facing a water shortage of horrific proportions.  The worst that has ever been, ever!  Crops and the economy were dying.  The U.S. has pleaded with Canada, their neighbour to their North, to let their water flow south.  The plea has fallen on deaf ears.

A bold plan was formed to solve their water issues. Some would say it was a desperate move, some would say it was sinister plan.  But a made in USA plan was formed, nonetheless
.

…Operation Snowball was 2 years in the making and was one of the most secretive operations the American air force had undertaken since World War 2.  The mission itself was rather straightforward.  The logistics behind it we are little more complex.  Planning a ‘training’ mission into Canada without the prior knowledge or the permission of the Canadian Government was a little problematic.  As technically most countries would view this to be an act of war if 75 war planes suddenly appeared in your airspace without permission.

…General Black was confident in the superior technology of his planes so that there was little or no chance that the Canadian Military would even know about the massive transgression that was about to happen until it was too late.  But, because the Canadian Army is instilled in so many levels of the US forces it was still rather difficult to keep many secrets from them and since they worked side by side with in the Norand Base deep inside Chienane Mountain Complex, secrets were ven harder to keep there.  General Black made it a regular Wednesday morning practice to launch many planes from the bases along the 49th parallel.  Though today’s mission would be different, much, much different…

Then in the summer of 2018, my slumber was awakened, the boys (Graham and Master Akio) had mischievously returned into my dreams. So I set aside the writing of “The 62 State” to pursue writing the fourth book in the A Warrior’s Heart series. This one currently has the working title of, “The Promise”. With working full time and historically being a slow writer, and only infrequently working on it. It has been a very slow process to date.

Then to add complications to an already complicated life. Another book sprung from my heart, “Alchemy of the Heart: Shavon Sun Cloud” I was drawn to let go of ” “The Promise” and start on “Alchemy of the Heart: Shavon Sun Cloud”. I started the book in November of 2021 for NaNoWriMo. (NanowriMo is a group of writers that get together and try to write an entire novel in the month of November.) I had hoped for a spring of 2023 book launch. But that just didn’t happen, it was launched in August of 2023, close but not quite.

Excitedly after the release of “Alchemy of the Heart: Shavon Sun I returned to writing, “The Promise”. It felt good to work with the boys again.

Then the unthinkable happened, I was blessed or cursed depending on how you see it with another novel idea, again in another genre I had never written in. This time the genre was dystopia urban fiction, and the book was called, “An Unregistered Male”.

With NaNoWriMo 2023 looming on the horizon. I decided to take up the challenge in earnest. To free myself from my writing backlog of projects, I put serious pressure on myself! I thought I would try something new and see if I could write actually 50,000 words in a month. I devoted a lot of time and energy to this cause. As I had never successfully completed 50K in words in any of the NaNoWriMo I had previously under taken.

I am excited to report that I did succeed in writing the mandated 50K words. But I was about 25K words short of completing and rounding out the novel. So I spent all of December and January completing, “An Unregistered Male” The completed novel is now in Tina’s hot little hands. – waiting to be edited!

In the distant and enigmatic world of Solis, a matriarchy has ruled for over three millennia, promising to bring peace and prosperity after a history marred by violence and corruption. But beneath the veneer of utopia lies a dark secret that threatens to shatter the delicate balance of power.

Meet Ethan Reynolds, an unassuming gardener who tends to the lush gardens of Solis. At just sixteen, he’s marked as a Registered Male, wearing a tracking collar that symbolizes his exclusion from society’s privileges. Lucas Irons, a fellow Registered Male, lives a life of brutal servitude, his every move monitored by the ruling matriarchy.

In the midst of this oppressive regime stands Ava Mitchell, an engineer with a passionate desire to dismantle the system that has enslaved men and stifled their potential for centuries.

As the rebellion simmers in the shadows, Ethan, Lucas, and Ava find themselves unlikely allies in a battle against a powerful triumvirate of female antagonists:

In “An Unregistered Male,” their paths converge in a thrilling tale of defiance and determination. As the rebellion grows, Ethan transforms from a humble gardener into a charismatic leader, while Ava’s engineering skills prove invaluable in disabling the tracking collars.

The final confrontation between the rebellion and the matriarchy brings Solis to the brink of revolution. With secrets unravelling and the balance of power teetering, the destiny of an entire world hangs in the balance.

Join Ethan, Lucas, and Ava in their quest for freedom, equality, and justice in a world where the colour of your tracking collar determines your fate. Will they succeed in toppling the matriarchy and paving the way for a brighter, more equitable future? “An Unregistered Male” is a gripping dystopian saga that explores the timeless themes of resistance, unity, and the enduring human spirit.

It is now March of 2024, and I am again back at writing, “The Promise”. With a goal of launching the book in the Fall of 2024. I will keep you updated on my progress!
