I’ve got to admit, I’m feeling a kind of tiredness that brings back memories of the good old days when life was simpler, much simpler. I’ve been burning the candle at both ends, juggling a multitude of activities that have left me a bit drained. But you know what? Despite the exhaustion, there’s an undeniable sense of fulfillment that comes with all the things I’ve been diving into.

First off, I’ve been dedicating some quality time to my dad, helping him fix up his fence. There’s something oddly satisfying about manual labour, the feeling of accomplishment that comes from repairing something tangible with your own hands. It’s a stark contrast to the digital world we often find ourselves lost in.

Then, there was the camping trip with Tina, a little escape into nature’s embrace. Breathing in the fresh air, surrounded by the beauty of the outdoors, it’s like hitting the reset button for the soul. Sitting by the campfire, sharing stories, and simply being present in the moment – these are the things that remind me of the simple joys in life.

But wait, there’s more. One of the highlights was spending a solid four days at the Nisg’aa NWTA men’s event. It was an experience that tapped into a deeper, more introspective side of life. The camaraderie, the shared experiences, and the growth that happens in such settings are truly remarkable.

And then, as if that wasn’t enough, I jumped right into the whirlwind of Dragon Con. Three full days of pop culture overload, surrounded by enthusiastic fans and creative energy that’s hard to put into words. Cosplays, panels, workshops – it’s a sensory explosion that’s equal parts exhilarating and exhausting.

Now, amidst all of this, I’ve been multitasking like a champ. I’m trying to write copy that captures the essence of my upcoming book, ‘Alchemy of the Heart: Shavon Sun Cloud’. It’s been a labour of love, crafting words that can convey the depth of emotion and adventure that the book holds within its pages. And I’m on a mission to get people as excited as I am about its release on September 12th, 2023.

So there you have it, my journey from fixing fences to delving into the heart of events and writing endeavours. It might sound like a whirlwind – and it certainly feels like one – but it’s all part of embracing life in its diverse, exhausting, and utterly wonderful forms.
