This past weekend, I had the absolute honour of spending three deeply transformational days coaching men at the ManUP Mastermind. And let me tell you—it was incredible.

There’s something powerful about a group of men coming together with open hearts and a willingness to grow. Over those three days, I witnessed walls come down, long-held pain released, and the quiet birthing of purpose and strength. It was moving. It was raw. It was heart-opening.

There’s no greater joy for me than to serve men on the path to their greatness. To help them peel back the layers of who they think they need to be so they can step into who they truly are.

These men showed up. Fully.

They cried.
They laughed.
They owned their stories.
And they started writing new ones.

And while I loved every sacred moment of this transformational space, I came home to a very important reminder: the transition from warrior mode to partner mode takes intentionality.

After spending three days in the sacred container of masculine growth and purpose-driven teaching, I returned home to my beautiful wife, Tina. The first real-life challenge or obstacle popped up—and I responded. I responded in a heart-based masculine way… but it didn’t quite land in the way Tina needed it to.

Oops. 😬

In that moment, I realized: I hadn’t fully re-integrated. I was still half in the “dojo” with the men, holding structure, clarity, and direction… but what my wife needed in that moment wasn’t direction. She needed connection. Softness. Presence of a different flavour.

Next time, I’ll build in more buffer time than I allowed for. Time to land back into our shared space.
Time to transition from guiding men into greatness to simply being present with the incredible woman who walks this path with me.

And that’s part of the lesson too, isn’t it?

We can be deeply devoted to our mission and still honour the sacredness of our relationships.
We can hold space for others and still remember to re-fill our own cup.
We can serve powerfully… and still stumble—gently and humbly—back into love.

So here’s my takeaway from this incredible weekend:
Transformation doesn’t end when the event does. It ripples outward—into our relationships, our choices, and our awareness.

And I’m grateful. Grateful for the men who showed up. Grateful for the lessons.
Grateful for Tina’s grace.

And grateful to continue walking this warrior’s path…
with an open heart, a humble spirit, and maybe—just maybe—a slightly longer re-entry period next time. 😉
