Welcome to this week's post.
Every Monday, I will send you the most interesting stories of the week from my blog. Well, I hope it is interesting at least. If I have NOT written anything in a given week, nothing will be sent out, so I won't be filling up your inbox.

Writers Muse

Author: Neil Thrussell

A creative muse is any source of inspiration you rely on to enrich your writing life and provide you with creative ideas for your next writing project. The word muse comes from the Greek mousai, and refers to the goddesses of creativity and the arts.

When I wrote A Warrior's Heart: The Awakening, music was my muse. I would play this particular selection of music before writing the story. Every time I wrote!

It may be safe to say that all creative processes have been inspired by some form of a muse. That muse could be an animated or inanimate object, for example, a sunset, the texture (feeling) of cloth on your skin. The sound of a bird, the haunting sound of a lone loon coming across a lake on a foggy morning.

Every individual artist, no matter the medium they use, has some form of muse! I suspect that no love song was ever born out of self-love, rather it was about someone, in particular, a muse!

As you write, contemplate! What is your muse? What is your inspiration for writing?
