Welcome to this week's post.
Every Monday, I will send you the most interesting stories of the week from my blog. Well, I hope it is interesting at least. If I have NOT written anything in a given week, nothing will be sent out, so I won't be filling up your inbox.

Making the Time

Making the Time
Author: Neil Thrussell
It was forecasted to be rainy for most of this past weekend and, in spite of the predicted forecast, Tina and I still decided to go out to our trailer this weekend. The rain could/would be the perfect reason for me to take the time to write. We just wanted to get away and spend some time nature!

I love writing, it is very cathartic for me. It provides me with an opportunity to connect or reconnect with my higher self and/or parts of me that connect with the creative force that resides outside and inside of me.

When I write, I may have the initial spark, ember, or concept of what the book could be and then I tap deeply into the divine creative force that resides outside of me that assists me in writing the rest of the story.

Some authors have a muse to help them in their creative endeavours.

Muse'

noun
  1. (in Greek and Roman mythology) each of nine goddesses, the daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne, who preside over the arts and sciences.
Similar: inspiration, creative influence, stimulus, stimulation, afflatus
  2. a person or personified force who is the source of inspiration for a creative artist.
    "Yeats' muse, Maud Gonne"
Traditionally music is my muse. When I wrote, "A Warrior's Heart: The Awakening" the piece that inspired me was Matsuri by Kitaro. I would play that just before I would settle in to write! Or sometimes I would put it on a continuous loop.

As I write "Awakening the Heart: Shavon Sun Cloud" I find myself listening to Celtic music. Yes, that's a big hint on what my next book is about!

With or without a muse or music, nothing gets done until I make the time to write. This is a simple lesson in life. Nothing gets done until you make the time, or schedule the time. Without scheduling or making the time, your idea is just a dream.

Setting side the time, then actually taking the time is the next step in creating the life of your dreams!
